Overview

ICMM has partnered with the Poole College of Management at NC State University to design, deliver, and evaluate a workplace financial education program for employees across North Carolina, beginning with an initial program for NCSU employees. The project examines how employer-based financial education can improve employee wellbeing, decision-making, and confidence.
Project Status
The program launched in summer 2025 and engaged approximately 250 participants between May and December. Program effectiveness was assessed through voluntary pre- and post-program surveys, which measured changes in participants’ financial knowledge, behaviors, and attitudes. The year-end report documented improvements in financial literacy knowledge, greater comfort in making financial decisions, and better understanding of investments and associated fees.
ICMM’s Role
ICMM funds the project and supports rigorous survey design and evaluation to ensure that lessons learned can inform broader employer-driven financial education initiatives.
